Volunteer At For The Love Of A Goth Festival This Summer – Here’s How!

Our hugely popular music festival is back for another summer and here is how to get involved.

We are looking for motivated, energetic, hard-working and friendly individuals to volunteer at the For The Love Of A Goth music festival this summer.

If you can spare a few hours, we can give you a free pass for the event and will provide you with your own festival t-shirt and other promotional products.

You will get a pitch in the staff camping area and be expected to complete at least four shifts in return for a free ticket to the entire event.

Should you wish to swap shifts, this is fine, but we need you to inform your supervisor firstly. Likewise, if you are unwell, simply let a team member know that you cannot make it in.

Volunteering roles can include being a steward for the festival, working in the first aid tent, helping out at the wellbeing tent and site management, as well as some other more specific roles. After the event is over, we may require you to stay on the site for twenty four hours afterwards, to help take down stages, tents and clean up.

In return for this, not only will you get a ticket for the whole event, but you will get a meal voucher worth £5 a day and we will provide you with a glowing reference and priceless experience.

If you would like to volunteer for this year’s festival, here are some guidelines…

  • YOU MUST BE OVER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN

You need to be aged eighteen or over to volunteer at our festival.

  • YOU NEED PROOF OF ID

We need to see a driver’s license or passport, or some sort of government issued photo ID.

  • YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO COMMIT TO FOUR SHIFTS

Shifts are only four hours long at a time and you can do two back to back if you like. For only sixteen hours work, we will give you a free pass to the whole four day event – bargain!

  • BE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL TO EVERYONE

We are looking for cheerful, friendly people who like helping others out. Sometimes festival goers can get ill or upset (or intoxicated). If you see anything that looks dangerous or distressing going on, we don’t expect our volunteers to intervene, but to simply make a report to one of our senior site managers, who will be able to attend to it.

  • ARRIVE FOR WORK ON TIME AND IN A SOBER FASHION

All we ask is for you to turn up to your shifts on time and in a good state. Please don’t come to shifts under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.

  • DON’T BRING ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES ONTO THE SITE

Anyone using illegal substances will be escorted off the premises and banned from returning to the festival site. This includes our volunteers and staff.

Volunteering is easy as long as you follow our simple rules and no experience is required. To apply, download our application pack today!
