BANDS – COME AND PLAY AT FOR THE LOVE OF A GOTH FESTIVAL
We need new bands to play at our showcase of talent at this year’s festival. This will be a four day event and we are looking for both solo artists and full groups to audition for a slot.
If you write and perform your own material, we are interested in hearing from you.
Here’s what you need to do to audition.
- SEND US A VIDEO, DVD OR CD
Either attach it electronically or send us a hard copy in the post, but either way, we need to hear you playing.
We aim to pick the best and want as many genres as possible to choose from.
Make the recording quality as high as possible.
- FILL IN OUR ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
We will need the full names and ages of everyone wishing to participate in our festival. All applicants must be over the age of eighteen.
- ABIDE BY THE RULES OF THE FESTIVAL
We require all participants to abide by all the rules of the festival. This means no illegal substances. We expect everyone to be friendly and prepared to get along with festival staff.
- PERFORM FOR FREE
Unfortunately we cannot pay our bands and artists for taking part in the festival. However, there is the opportunity for you to sell both festival merchandise and your own on the site whilst you are here.
If you are invited to perform you also get a free ticket for the event.
For more information please download our application form for bands.
LEARN A NEW INSTRUMENT AT OUR MUSIC FESTIVAL
It is not only the performers who will be making music at our festival this summer. We are holding a series of workshops and masterclasses, where you can learn an instrument or practice with a professional in your chosen area.
Some of our workshops will include African drumming, the ukulele for beginners and vocal training, with a professional voice coach.
We are also looking at forming a choir, on the festival site, who will perform at the last night of the event.
So if you are looking to get involved and join in some singing, then we want to hear from you – literally!
But please don’t leave it until the last minute when you already are on the site, to register your interest in these events.
The workshops (along with the line up) will be going live onto our website within the next few weeks and as soon as you have confirmed a ticket booking, we will be taking a list of names of people interested in attending.
Last summer these workshops were very well attended and sold out!
Festival director Eric Stotton says of last year’s workshops; “Last year we were blown away by the interest from festival goers and also by the talent there. The choir we formed last summer is still going strong and perform regularly all around the local area. It will be really exciting to see who will be part of this summer’s events.”
